Document Properties: General Tab
Use the General tab of Document Properties contains the following information:
| Important | When creating a Documaker document, once you have selected a Documaker document Type, you cannot change it later. |
- The Documaker Name of the document
- An optional general Description of the Documaker document – after this document is converted in Studio, this description will appear in the Studio library manager
- The name of the Workspace assigned to this document
- a workspace is associated with a workspace definition file; this file contains various Documaker resources – such as fields, triggers, and graphics – which you can include in this document as elements
- Click
to manage your workspace definition files: see the Manage Workspace Definition Files dialog; alternatively, select a workspace from the Workspace list

- The Effective Date of the Documaker document
Section and Paragraph Collection
A section or paragraph collection option displays for Document types of Form or Paragraph List
When the collection option is checked on for a Form document type, the Advanced, Recipients and Metadata tabs are hidden, When the collection option is checked on for a Paragraph List document type, the Advanced tab is hidden. The Advanced, Recipients and Metadata tabs contain Form and Paragraph List specific options. Since the Form or Paragraph List will not be imported, these options do not apply.
The section collection option prevents the form from being imported when the Documaker document is converted in Documaker Studio. Only sections in the form are imported.
• A paragraph collection option displays for Document types of Paragraph Lists.
When the collection option is checked on for a Paragraph List document type, the Advanced tab is hidden. The Advanced tab contains Paragraph List specific options. Since the Paragraph List will not be imported, these options to not apply.
The paragraph collection option prevents the paragraph list from being imported when the Documaker document is converted in Documaker Studio. Only paragraphs in the paragraph list are imported.

Comments
Document Properties also contains a Comments section where you can enter specific instructions for the Studio author.
